I am a Japanese and live in Japan , I had been making a claim to the VA for my spousal compensation ( my late husband is a Vietnam veteran) over a year , the process was so slow and I wasn’t even sure if my case was going to be granted or not, I only received a couple of letters from them just saying “your case is in process “ ( in some fancy words , I could not understand since I’m not a native English speaker ) I had waited 18 months and could not be patient anymore and asked my great friend Shawn if he can help me, even though the VA things are not his field , he wrote a couple of letters to them and…. a month later I got a letter from them says my claim had been granted!!!!!! I should have asked for help to Shawn much earlier!!! Shawn speaks some Japanese and he understands Japanese culture, and me, my situation , he really is a kind person with full of compassion. Thank you for helping me internationally !!!!!
